McCaskie blast century as Wildey takes command in Elite 3-day.

Barbados Pride opening batter Zachary McCaskie scored a brilliant hundred for tournament favourites Wildey as they took a 139-run lead over SuperbBlend Gladiola on day two of the 2025 Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) Elite division three-day Championship on Saturday.

Resuming the day on their home field at Dash Valley at 32 without loss with McCaskie unbeaten on 18, Wildey cruised to first innings lead and three batting points before declaring on 251 for 6 after 53 overs. McCaskie batted for 142 balls, striking 10 fours and 3 sixes before he was out, caught by Jayden Hoyte with the score on 229. Shanaldo Taylor chipped in with 69 in 99 balls.

In their reply Gladiola ended the day on 90 without loss, trailing by 49-runs, with Rashawn Ramsay not-out on 67.

Scores: Superb Blend Gladiola 112 all out (40.3 overs) Jerome Jones 4-14 and 90-0 (25 overs) Rashawn Ramsay 67 not out.

IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire battled their way to 333 all-out after resuming overnight on 280 for 7. Left arm spinner Pius Emilien grabbed two wickets on the day to end with figures of 6 for 69 at the Dayrells road ground.

Kraigg Brathwaite heads into day 3 unbeaten on 96 for Wanderers against Yorkshire.

Former West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite led the reply for Wanderers when he batted for 105 balls and ended the day unbeaten on 96 which included 11 fours and 1 six. Batting at number 3, Jazz Griffith scored 70 as the home team reached 201 for 3 in 45 overs.

Wanderers 201-3 (45 overs) (Kraigg Brathwaite 96 not out, Jazz Griffith 70).

NB: At the end of 75 overs, Yorkshire were 318-7.

Over at the Foursquare Oval, ESA Field Pickwick resumed the day on 23-1 with intentions of reaching Urgent Care Bayview Hospital YMPC’s day one total of 230. Pickwick managed to gain all important first innings points when they scored 241 all-out. Leading the way was Craig Holder, 53 in 67 balls, while former West Indies batter Kyle Hope made 47 in 55 balls. Off spin bowler Kemar Smith took 4 for 93 for YMPC.

Pickwick hold the advantage as they struck late in the day to have YMPC reeling at 38 for 4 in 11 overs,
