
In an act of tough love, a mother yesterday withdrew as her son’s surety to ensure that he got treatment for his drug problem.
“I have seen packages of powder and straws in his possession. – white powder,” the woman said of Rashawn Antone Shaquon Roach.
“He is not eating. He is roaming all night and there are just outbursts. It is horrible. He is in a dark place. Them is signs. Them is things I see other people going through. If I don’t try to help him, what will my other two children think,” the mother told the No. 5 Supreme Court..
Roach, of Black Bess, St Peter, is accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 14 on April 16, 2020; between March 1 and 31, 2021 and on May 12, 2021. The accused was represented by attorney Kyle Walkes, while Senior State Counsel Maya Kellman appeared for the prosecution.
