One day shy of nine years.
That is how much longer Darian Ronald Nurse has to spend behind bars for killing Scherno Rose.
Nurse, now 31, of Stratford Hill, Pinelands, St Michael, returned before Justice Elwood Watts in Supreme Court No. 2A last week for sentencing. He had pleaded guilty on an earlier occasion to the non-capital murder of Rose, who was killed at Neil’s Tenantry, St Michael, on May 12, 2016.
Nurse was among others who shot into a group of men playing cards in the area. Rose, 40, and a father of two, died from a single gunshot wound. (SD)
