Oasis All Stars are the champions of the second annual, Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, Adopt-A-School Futsal Competition.
Playing at the Oasis at Kendal Hill on Sunday, they first defeated Wyndham Grand Barbados 3-0 at the semifinal stage thanks to goals from Aquille Barrow, Jayden Goodridge and Sekani Mayers.
In the remaining semifinal, Caribbean Aircraft Handling also booked their semifinal berth, with a 4-1 victory over the BHTA, Stansfield Scott, National Sports Council side.
Antonio Bartlett and Amal Mayers scored two goals apiece for the winners, while their opponents lone goal came from Roshon Gittens.
In the third place playoff, the BHTA, Stansfield Scott, National Sports Council team bounced back from their semifinal defeat earlier, as they eased past Wyndham Grand Barbados 4-1.
Ryan Forde, Demar Linton and Tito Beckles were all on target and they also benefited from an own goal, while T’Shane Lorde got the goal for Wyndham Grand Barbados.
In the much anticipated final, Oasis All Stars edged Caribbean Aircraft Handling 3-2, thanks to goals from Jayden Goodridge, Aquille Barrow and Sekani Mayers, while Kemar Bartlett and Slantony Gilkes scored for Caribbean Aircraft Handling.
Jai Shorey took home the award for Best Goalkeeper and Aquille Barrow the Most Goals, while the team with the Best Jersey was adjudged to be Hilton Barbados Resort.
“The tournament is about much more than just football, it’s about supporting education, building communities and promoting wellness.
“We contribute to essential upgrades and improvements in selected Primary and Secondary schools, promote employee wellness among our members, while strengthening our teams through healthy competition and active engagement,” Tourism Liaison Officer, Sade said.
