Paradise continued their dominant run in the Barbados Football Association’s Kotex Women’s League on Sunday, crushing Police 11-0 at the Valery Playing Field to strengthen their position at the top of the points standings.
Soroya Toppin-Hebert struck a hat trick, while Acacia Small, Rianna Cyrus and Shanice Stevenson scored two goals apiece as the Dover-based team produced another commanding performance.
Paradise raced to a 3-0 lead by half-time, with Solange Holford opening the scoring in the 20th minute.
The goal rush truly began in the second half as Small got her second of the night in the 54th minute, followed by another for Cyrus in the 58th.
Stevenson scored her opening goal in the 63rd minute, with Toppin-Herbert deepening the misery for Police two minutes later, before Keinelle Johnson added to the scoreline in the 68th minute.
Toppin-Herbert completed her hat trick with goals in the 77th and 82nd minutes, before Stevenson struck again just before the final whistle to complete the rout.
In Sunday’s other game at Valery, Empire kept up their push for a top three finish, with a 9-0 win over FVFC Femeni.
Towanna Clarke led the way with three goals, while Asha Stevenson netted twice.
In Saturday’s games, RF Prime Academy got two goals from Kerisha Catlyn and another from Tayrn Sutherland, to secure a 3-0 victory over Whitehall, while Mavericks and Technique played out a 2-2 draw.
The updated points standings show Paradise retaining their lead on 25 points, ahead of second-placed R.F Prime on 21 and third-placed Empire on 19.
Technique are fourth on 18 points, with Mavericks fifth on 12 and Police sixth on nine points.
FV FC Femeni lie seventh on three points, ahead of bottom club Whitehall on goal difference.
