The Pelican Pirates stormed into the quarterfinals of the Barbados Beach Soccer Championship 2025 with a commanding 8-0 win over Tikki Tacklers on Sunday at Browne’s Beach. The dominant performance sets the stage for next Sunday’s quarterfinal clashes at Brandon’s Beach.
Shawn Jack led the charge, scoring twice in the ninth and 26th minutes, while Savion Hoyte, Decarlo Straker, Jerome Blackett, Shakia Grenville, Mani Cheltenham, and Kadane Jones each added a goal to complete the emphatic victory.
The Sunset Chasers were equally impressive, powering past Full Volley 7-1. Ozim Henderson and Tezan Phillips both netted two goals apiece, with Ormando McCloud, Cleon Culley, and Keron Bishop adding one each. Rasheed Mayers scored Full Volley’s only consolation goal in the eighth minute.
Sea Breeze maintained their fine form, storming into the quarterfinals with a 6-1 demolition of Tropical Twisters. Jamal Chandler led the charge with strikes in the first and seventh minutes, while Ron Pile (ninth), Dario Haynes (tenth), Shaquille Griffith (19th), and Jabari Brandford (24th) completed the scoring. Brandon Morris netted the lone goal for Tropical Twisters.
The most thrilling encounter of the day saw Sundown Ballers narrowly edge Sunshine United 7-6 in a high-scoring showdown. Erick Joseph was the star of the match, scoring four goals, while Mario Graham added a brace to secure the win. Miguel Clarke scored a hat-trick for Sunshine United, with Deondre Ward contributing two, but it was not enough to prevent defeat.
Tropical Thunder hammered Wave Runners 6-0, with Ramario Savoury, Khalique Bowen, and Jamar Grazette each scoring twice. Beach Blitzers edged Island Invincibles 2-1, while Bajan Heat needed extra time to overcome Southern Rays 3-2. Trident Spurs also enjoyed success, comfortably dispatching Island Fusion 4-1.
