Telecoms provider Flow recently welcomed the 2025 Prime Minister’s Cup champions, Weymouth Wales, to its corporate office in Warrens for a celebration recognising the team’s outstanding achievement and the role of sport in uplifting communities across the island.
Flow partnered with the tournament again this year, investing close to $30 000 in direct support to players and event activities.
Led by Team Manager Alphonso Lewis, Coach Asquith Howell, Physiotherapist Chantelle Braithwaite and Captain Hadan Holligan, the victorious squad met with Flow’s Vice-President and General Manager, Desron Bynoe, senior Flow executives and members of the Prime Minister’s Cup Organising Committee, including Chairman Omari Eastmond and Marketing, Communications and Media Strategist, Danielle Toppin.
During the meet-and-greet, Flow presented prizes and tokens of appreciation to the team.
Each Weymouth Wales player received their share of $5 000 in recognition of their success, while standout performers received premium devices: Most Valuable Player and Best Defender Andre Applewhaite was awarded an iPhone 17, while Best Young Player Jamarco Johnson, from second place team Kickstart Rush, received a Samsung S25. Fans also shared in the celebration, with Tibu Johnson winning the Flow Fan Prize: an Apple iPad.
“I want to congratulate Weymouth Wales. After disappointment last year, you returned with discipline, focus and humility, and you played undefeated. That speaks to your preparation and your heart,” said Bynoe.
“At a time when our communities need positive examples, what you have achieved shines a bright light. Celebrate your wins, but remain humble, lift as you climb, and pass your knowledge to the younger players following behind you.”
Project Manager for the Prime Minister’s Cup, Shane Archer, praised Flow’s continued support.
“Flow’s involvement shows how powerful it is when Corporate Barbados stands with our young athletes. Their investment rewards hard work, uplifts communities and helps create brighter futures for these players. I encourage other businesses to follow this example — your support can change lives.”
Flow said the partnership reflects the company’s broader commitment to community development and youth.
