Police have identified the man found dead in a vehicle at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex car park on Sunday morning.
He is Eric Joseph Butcher, 66, of Phillip Drive, Pine Garden, St Michael.
Police said Operations Control received a report of an unnatural death around 11:16 a.m. on Sunday, January 25.
Officers from the Black Rock Police Station responded and found Butcher seated motionless inside a motor vehicle in the Lazaretto, St Michael, area.
A medical doctor later examined the body at the scene and pronounced him dead. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are continuing.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or the Black Rock Police Station at 417-7500 or 417-7505.
