The Barbados Police Service continues to urge the public to say something if they see something as it relates to convicted murderer Kishon Thomas who escaped.
Thomas made a daring dash for freedom on May 2 around 4 p.m. while at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was seeking medical treatment while in the custody of prison officials after being found guilty of murder on April 30.
Police Communications and Public Affairs Officer, Acting Inspector Ryan Brathwaite, said they were sparing no expense to recapture Thomas.
“The search remains on, units continue to search. I just want people to continue to be vigilant, be alert, and if they see or hear anything, to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, the police emergency at 211, or any police station,” Brathwaite said.
He initially escaped driving a silver van bearing the registration number M7730. This vehicle was subsequently found on May 3, parked on Belfield pasture, Black Rock, St Michael, at the end of Lower Wavell #2, and was confiscated by police.
Thomas, 26, alias “Pappy”, “Paps” or “Tom”, formerly of Seaview, St James, is approximately six feet tall, of dark complexion and medium build. At the time, he was wearing a pair of blue pants and was bareback.
He has an oval head, large brown eyes and pointed ears, broad nose and mouth, thick lips, light eyebrows with a scar on the left one. Thomas has a tattoo of a skullhead and a crown on his right shoulder with the word “loyalty” on his left forearm and the letters OTF and the word “kishon” on the inner side of his right bicep.
