QEH relocates four outpatient clinics to George Street

Four outpatient clinics at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will be relocated to George Street, Belleville, from Monday.

The hospital said the ENT, Neurology, Paediatrics and Dermatology clinics will begin operating at the new location, directly opposite the Barbados Vocational Training Board, from 8 a.m. on September 7.

Patients with appointments at any of the four clinics from Monday are asked to go to the George Street location instead of the previous outpatient clinic area at the QEH.

The relocation is part of preparations for the Enmore Redevelopment Project, which will facilitate construction of an approximately $400 million extension to the hospital.

The QEH also advised that Mr. Christopher Maynard’s 1 p.m. ENT clinic has been cancelled.

The hospital’s Medical Records team is contacting affected patients to reschedule their appointments, but the QEH issued the public notice to ensure those who have not yet been contacted are aware of the cancellation.

The hospital apologised for any inconvenience caused by the relocation and thanked patients and the public for their understanding and cooperation.
