Red Advertising tops Caribbean again at Angel Awards

Barbadian agency Red Advertising has once again emerged as the Caribbean’s most awarded agency at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Angel Awards, taking home four awards and continuing its eight-year winning streak.

The Angel Awards, administered by the federation’s District 4, which includes South Florida and the Caribbean, recognises creative excellence in campaigns that advance social good or community wellbeing.

Red secured as many Angels as all other Caribbean entrants combined. Agencies from Barbados, Trinidad and Jamaica also featured among this year’s recipients.

Since the programme’s inception in 2018, Red has amassed a total of 44 Angel Awards — 22 of them Gold.

In a shift from its typical dominance in the private sector at the ADDY Awards, Red’s 2025 wins were largely for public sector campaigns. The agency’s award-winning work included projects for the Ministry of Agriculture, spanning both climate change and invasive pest control initiatives.

The ministry’s climate change campaign, already a previous award-winner, added two new Angel Awards to its tally, having earlier earned two Gold ADDYs this year.

Red also won Angels for the We Gatherin’ 2025 “Pillars” campaign, which highlighted the long-term benefits of national We Gatherin’ activities, and for the rebranding of HOPE Inc.

Managing director Jevan Jutagir congratulated his team and clients in a release saying: “Great work for great Causes! What could be better?”

The American Advertising Federation (AAF), founded in 1905, is the oldest national advertising trade association in the United States.

Other Barbadian agencies have also earned Angel recognition over the years for socially conscious campaigns. G&A Communications received Angels for its tourism sustainability campaign “Green is the New Gold” in 2021, while PRMR Inc. was awarded in 2020 for its domestic violence awareness work with the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Barbados. In 2019, Clearly Content Marketing captured an Angel for its youth entrepreneurship drive with the Trust Loan Fund. (PR)
