Sandals boss on CEO Council

Sandals Resort International executive chairman Adam Stewart is now a member of the The Wall Street Journal ( WSJ) CEO Council.

The Jamaican businessman recently announced that he was “honoured to join The Wall Street Journal CEO Council, a powerful community of global leaders driving meaningful conversations and bold decisions”.

“Representing Sandals Resorts International and the Caribbean at this level is a privilege,” he said.

“I look forward to sharing our unique perspective on innovation and the future of hospitality while learning from some of the brightest, most influential minds in business.”

The WSJ CEO Council says its members “lead companies that collectively employ more than 9.5 million people, generate over US$3.94 trillion in annual revenue and represent 31 countries in a wide cross-section of industries”.

It pointed to a number of “key benefits” offered to its members, including the CEO Exchange which entails “sessions with senior WSJ editors and subject-matter experts that tackle today’s biggest business challenges for decision makers, featuring unscripted interviews followed by candid member discussions”.

Other events include CEO Council summits which are “an opportunity to hear trusted insight from leading experts on the topics top of mind for CEO [and] a place to connect peer-to-peer in exchange sessions for exchanging ideas, practical guidance for your most difficult business decisions”. (SC)
