Trazahri Ifill completed a hat trick, Aakash Jones grabbed two goals and Shemari Gittens the other, as St Bernard’s Primary won big when the National Sports Council’s BICO Primary School Football Competition continued on Tuesday.
Playing in the Dennis Leacock Zone at the Conrad Hunte Playing Field, St Bernard’s blanked Hillaby Turners Hall 6-0, while in the remaining game, Providence eased to an 8-1 victory over St Joseph Primary.
Only one game kicked off in the Edward Smith/Frank Holder Zone in Speightstown, where Gordon Greenidge Primary defeated Elliott Belgrave Primary 3-1.
In other results, St George Primary beat Ellerton 5-1 in the Kenville Kab Layne Zone, while St Judes recorded a 1-0 victory over Cuthbert Moore.
Last year’s beaten finalists Arthur Smith Primary remained unbeaten following a 1-0 win over St Winifred’s in the Ricardo Mickey Gibson Zone. St Lawrence were defeated 2-1 by Wills Primary, People’s Cathedral beat Shirley Chisholm 2-0, St Gabriel’s romped to a 6-1 win over St Bartholomew, while Milton Lynch Primary defeated St Christopher’s Primary 1-0.
