St James woman granted bail on cannabis trafficking and importation charges

A St James woman was granted bail yesterday after pleading not guilty to the trafficking and importation of cannabis valued over $100 000.

Nakita Latisha Nathanya Clarke, 32 years of Lot #31 Appleby, appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District β€˜A’ Criminal Court. She was charged in connection with a substance suspected to be cannabis, weighing 14.6 kilogrammes, having an estimated street value of $116 800. Both offences are alleged to have occurred on December 29, 2025.

Clarke was granted bail to the sum of $50 000 with two sureties. She is scheduled to reappear on Friday, April 24, 2026. (PR/SAT)
