Transport Board Services still disrupted across Barbados

The Transport Board is still experiencing challenges in several areas across Barbados, in the wake of last night’s heavy rainfall and flooding.

A release said while buses would continue to operate as close to the destination as “safely” possible, they might be unable to enter some communities or roadways until conditions improved.

Last night, the Transport Board was forced to delay or reroute service to some areas after heavy rains.

Areas affected included:

 • Bawdens Bridge, St Andrew
• The bridge after Sand Dunes Restaurant on Ermy Bourne Highway, St Andrew
• Farley Hill, St Peter
• Diamond Corner, St Peter
• Road View, St Peter
• Mullins, St Peter
• Greenidges, St Lucy
• Charles Rowe Bridge, St George

Commuters are advised to exercise caution, but also factor in extra travel time. (SAT)
