Trident gives customers service week boost

Trident Insurance’s Worthing Branch marked Customer Service Appreciation Week with free roadworthiness checks and giveaways, giving customers an opportunity to have their vehicles inspected while enjoying refreshments and other activities.

Business Development Officer Annette Hinkson said the company wanted to make the occasion about more than simply recognising customer service.

She said: “This entire week we have little events going on just to give back to our clients, and today, our roadworthy inspection day, we actually have snow cones set up and a nice seated area giving back to our customers.”

The Worthing branch also provided free treatz from Smiley Sno-cones as customers waited to have their vehicles checked.

The activities were not limited to existing Trident customers, Hinkson said, encouraging people who were interested in getting insurance to visit the branch.

“You don’t have to be a customer of Trident to be involved in our customer service appreciation week,” she said. “But if you are looking for insurance, just visit us and you know you’ll be involved in the activities going on.”

Trident began observing Customer Service Appreciation Week last year.

“It’s not necessarily new…. The customer service week is something that is recognised internationally, so we try to recognise it on the week.”

On Friday customers can participate in an in-house “spin-the-wheel competition”, Hinkson said.

Among the customers taking advantage of the roadworthiness inspection was Tennyson Roach, who brought a Toyota Yaris to the Worthing branch.

Roach said he returns for the inspection when his vehicle is due to be checked, adding that he sees value in ensuring his car is safe for use on the road.

“I think the process is good, obviously, you want to make sure that your car and yourself is protected on the road at all times, so I think it’s good,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of having insurance, particularly because of the possibility of accidents on the road.

“That is a must, obviously, you know, on the road accidents can happen, so it’s good to have your vehicle insured,” Roach said.

Trident Insurance offers general insurance covering areas including home, property and motor insurance, as well as health insurance.

The customer appreciation activities at the Worthing branch also included a giveaway, with Don Whitefield receiving a prize from Trident Insurance Supervisor of Customer Services Andrea Hunte after answering a question during the roadworthiness inspection.
