Barbados will take its place in football history when the island’s Under-15 boys’ team competes at the first-ever FIFA Under-15 World Cup and Festival.
The team departed the island headed for Baku, Azerbaijan, yesterday morning and for head coach Stefan King, the assignment stands above anything else in his coaching career.
“I’ve had some very special moments in my life as a coach when I was in the United States, but nothing can top this experience, getting to be the head coach of my country’s Under-15 boys’ team headed to represent at the first-ever Under-15 World Cup,” King told NATION SPORT.
“For me personally, it is a moment that I will never forget, and a moment that I’m honoured that the BFA would entrust me with this opportunity.”
