A young father who walked onto the premises of a school has been sent for a psychiatric evaluation.
When he appeared in the District “D” Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Shaquon Shackeel Antonio Ince, 26, of Kings Court, Lodge Road, Christ Church, admitted to acting Magistrate Bernadeth John that he unlawfully entered Welches Primary School in St Thomas in a threatening manner on October 7.
Prosecutor Sergeant Victoria Leacock said principal Julia Broome reported to police that while school was in session, Ince opened the pedestrian gate and walked onto the compound. He went to the Reception class and repeatedly called out the name of a girl. He then touched the shoulder of a different girl and asked her to follow him.
The teacher was present and she shouted for a male teacher who was working nearby. That was when Ince ran out of the classroom and back through the same gate which he had entered. (SD)
