Windies Women meet England at Lord’s in T20 World Cup mega-clash

West Indies will face England at Lord’s in a major encounter when the International Cricket Council’s Women’s T20 World Cup in played in England next year. The ICC unveiled the full schedule for the marquee global event on Wednesday morning with the historic venue set to host the two former champion teams.

West Indies have been drawn in Group 2 alongside hosts England, defending champions New Zealand, Sri Lanka and two qualifier teams to be decided through an ICC qualification tournament early next year.

With the semi-finals and final already confirmed to take place in London – at The Oval and Lord’s respectively; iconic venues such as Headingley, Old Trafford, Bristol County Ground and Hampshire Bowl will also play their part in showcasing world-class cricket throughout the early stages.

Next year will mark 10 years since the West Indies won their ICC Women’s World T20 title, when they beat Australia at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. They reached the semi-finals when the last tournament was played in Dubai last October.

Sunday, July 5: The Final at Lord’s – 2:30pm
