Yung Bredda, Chlöe, Moliy bring ‘The Greatest Bend Over’ to Crop Over

By Tracy Moore

Trinidadian soca star Yung Bredda has turned his carnival smash The Greatest Bend Over into a multinational anthem, and Barbados got front-row billing in the remix.

The new version, out Friday via 0207 Def Jam and Polydor Label Group labels, features Grammy-nominated US singer Chlöe and Ghanaian Moliy, riding Full Blown’s infectious Big Links riddim with sultry verses, bold ad-libs, and road-ready vibes.

The music video, shot across the Caribbean, captures the spirit of carnival from Saint Lucia to Barbados. Both Chlöe and Yung Bredda touched down for Crop Over, joining the revelry on Kadooment Day — features, paint, rum and all — bringing authentic Bajan Kadooment energy to screens worldwide.

As Billboard notes, Chlöe — one half of Chloe x Halle — is no stranger to the region, having drawn inspiration from St. Lucia for her 2024 album Trouble in Paradise.

Moliy, who also visited Barbados earlier this year, has been riding high with Shake It to the Max, one of the year’s biggest dancehall crossovers, which peaked at No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the US Afrobeats Songs, Rhythmic Airplay, and World Digital Song Sales charts.

Chlöe said the collaboration came naturally: “I always loved this song, and I would sing it all the time,” she told Billboard. “When I got asked to feature on it, I was excited because I already had a love for it.”

The remix cements The Greatest Bend Over as a true pan-Caribbean party anthem while giving Crop Over 2025 a starring role in its story. (TM)
