Celebrating service, flavour and festivity at Hilton’s ‘Beyond the Banquet’

Potential clients of Hilton Barbados Resort did not just hear about the hotel’s offerings on Friday night; they experienced it. From the very first step inside, it was clear the evening was about more than food, with stellar service and a welcoming atmosphere seamlessly being combined.

During Beyond the Banquet, specially invited guests were immersed in all the elements that define an event at the Needhams Point property. Saxophonist Zukeli Inniss filled the lobby with sweet melodies as Hilton’s hospitality team welcomed guests with warm smiles and trays of culinary delights.

Attentive staff treated the guests to excellent service.

Cocktails from the resort’s mixology team flowed freely with attentive wait staff always present. Guests sampled skewered shrimp grilled to perfection, succulent pigtails in the Bajan Sticks section, while refreshing snow cones were in quick supply nearby.

With Executive Chef José Gutiérrez and David Brome Chef Banquets at the helm, inside the main banquet area, the mood shifted to the festive season with Christmas music and lighting.

Host for the evening Teresa Nicholls, Director Catering & Events at Hilton Barbados Resort kept attendees engaged.

The carving station featured a selection of mouthwatering meats accompanied by an array of delectable sides. There was also a nod to Oistins, with perfectly seasoned fish paired with creamy macaroni pie. An entire corner was dedicated to indulgence, featuring a dessert station brimming with sweet treats that left guests spoiled for choice.

Assistant Marketing Manager at Hilton Barbados Resort, Bea Dottin, explained the vision behind the evening.

“This is our Beyond the Banquet event, which is an event where we are showcasing our recently revamped banquet menus. Those are the menus that you would use if you come to us to have an event.”

She added, “We have also launched our holiday menus. This is a bit of a feel for what you can expect if you book an event with us for your holiday parties as well.”

Director of Sales and Marketing, Annmarie Thompson, expressed gratitude to Hilton’s loyal clients.

“Those of you who are here with us this weekend are some of the people who support us here at Hilton Barbados time and time again. We wanted to take the opportunity to show you what we are doing that is new, and so we thank you very much for coming out and joining us and experiencing that tonight.”

She added, “We are celebrating a lot at Hilton Barbados. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary of this property. We have just celebrated being named a Great Place to Work. We have just celebrated being named the Best Business by BCCI in the media category and tonight we are celebrating Beyond the Banquet with our fantastic clients.”

From flavourful dishes to flawless service, Beyond the Banquet captured the top-tier service available at Hilton Barbados. (STT)
