SVGTA welcomes Dr Kishore Shallow as new minister of tourism and maritime affairs

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA) warmly welcomes The Honourable Dr Kishore Shallow as the newly appointed Minister of Tourism and Maritime Affairs, following the official swearing-in of the new Cabinet of the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines on the December 2, 2025.

The Authority extends heartfelt congratulations to Minister Shallow on his appointment and expresses its full confidence in his dynamic leadership, strategic vision, and strong record of national and regional service. His proven capacity in governance, innovation, and institution-building positions him well to advance the continued growth and diversification of our tourism and maritime sectors.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Minister Shallow brings a wealth of experience from his tenure on the Board of Directors of Cricket West Indies (CWI) and his successful leadership as president of CWI. His years at the regional cricketing helm strengthened sports administration across the Caribbean and helped expand the visibility and commercial value of West Indies cricket. This background, along with his expertise, will play a pivotal role in elevating St Vincent and the Grenadines’ positioning as a premier sports-tourism destination.

Speaking on the Minister’s appointment, CEO of the SVGTA, Annette Mark, expressed enthusiasm for this new era of collaboration: “The Tourism Authority is honoured to welcome Dr Shallow as our new Minister. His proven leadership, modern outlook, and deep commitment to national transformation align perfectly with the direction in which our tourism product is headed. We look forward to working closely with him to further elevate our destination, strengthen our markets, and expand our maritime opportunities.”

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority also recognises and thanks the outgoing minister and the ministry team for their support and partnership over the past years.

As the 2025–2026 tourism cycle unfolds, with major international events, new airlift partnerships being explored, significant hotel developments anticipated, cultural festivals, immersive attractions, and transformative product-development initiatives, the Authority looks forward to advancing these priorities under the Minister’s stewardship.

The SVGTA is enthusiastic about the prospects of Dr Shallow’s leadership in advancing a robust, competitive, and inclusive tourism and maritime agenda that benefits all Vincentians, strengthens community participation, and enhances the global visibility of the destination.
