The victim of the fatal house fire along Bank Hall Main Road, St Michael, on Friday afternoon has been identified as 51-year-old Shanell Smith.
Her body was discovered after officers from the Barbados Fire Service extinguished the blaze and examined the building.
A medical doctor visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced death. Smith was identified by a relative.
