A 26-year-old City man has denied discharging a firearm in a public place and endangering life, as well as using a firearm without a valid licence.
Â
Stephon Davidson Freeman, of Greenfield, appeared before Justice Carlisle Greaves in the No. 3 Supreme Court and pleaded not guilty to discharging a firearm in Garden Land, St Michael, a public place and in a manner which placed Kezra Lewis Wilson in danger of death or serious bodily harm, and to using a firearm without having a valid licence to do so.
The offences allegedly occurred on November 24, 2020.
When the case was called, Freeman informed the court that he did not have an attorney as his family could not afford one.
Justice Greaves adjourned the case, which is being prosecuted by acting Senior State Counsel Anastacia McMeo-Boyce, until May 26.
