Earth Day is a reminder that our power means very little if we do not use it to protect our planet.
This year’s theme, Our Power, Our Planet, speaks to responsibility, choice and action. It speaks to the duty we have to treat this crisis with the seriousness it demands.
The climate crisis is not apart from the lives people live every day. It touches food, water, health, housing, livelihoods and the future that we leave to the next generation.
Protecting the planet and creating opportunity for people are not opposing goals. They must go hand in hand.
