Sentencing submissions for a woman convicted of murdering a fish vendor have been postponed as the court awaits key reports, delaying the next stage of the high-profile case.
Earlier this year, Romancia Odwin, 26, of Whopping, Orange Hill, St James, was unanimously convicted by a jury of murdering 56-year-old Ronald Smokey Skeete between July 18 and 19, 2020.
She was also found guilty of unlawfully wounding Zonelle Sobers with intent to maim, disfigure or disable her.
Acting Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale SC and State Counsel Paul Prescod prosecute the case, while defence attorney Sade Harris represents the convicted woman.
When she reappeared before Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell, the court was informed that the pre-sentencing prison management report and psychological report were outstanding.
The case was then adjourned until September 23.
